Gresham Farms Village
JSK CONSULTING, INC.’s services for this project included extending the City of Lakeland’s City Limits to County Line Road, the dividing highway between Hillsborough and Polk County.
The City annexed 120 +/- acres and applied Community Activity Center (CAC) for the first phase of development, a 185,000 S.F. retail shopping center. It involved working in conjunction with several local regulatory agencies including: City of Lakeland, City of Plant City, Polk County and Hillsborough County, Polk County, and Southwest Water Management District.
The services we provided including the following:
- Land Planning, Environmental Services, Traffic Study and Site Layout: Implementation of the Comprehensive Plan to assign appropriate Land Use Designation for projected and sustainable growth of over 7,000 new homes in the Southwest Lakeland Area.

Kyra Infotech Professional Office
Working together with Furr Wegman Architects, P.A., JSK CONSULTING, Inc. helped to design and permit this cutting edge Research & Development Facility to meet Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) criteria for the construction of a green building.
Our services for this project included working with the City of Lakeland, Southwest Florida Water Management District, and the Florida Department of Environmental Protection to engineer and permit the construction of this facility. The Surface Water Management analysis model included multiple storm event scenarios and hydraulic analysis of the complex drainage conveyance system to address the permitting concerns of the City and the Water Management District. |

Highland Professional Plaza Professional Office Park
This Mediterranean style professional office park is strategically located between Bartow and the Polk County Parkway along the US 98 Corridor. JSK CONSULTING, Inc.’s professional team provided complete land use planning, site development and engineering services for this leading edge development. Working together with the City of Bartow, the Polk County School Board and the Polk County Growth Management Division, JSK engineered and permitted several hundred feet of off-site water and sewer mains to provide utility service to this commercial development.
The services we provided include the following:
- Land Use Planning and Zoning: preparation and submission of annexation application with supporting impact assessment statement and site evaluations to the City of Bartow. Our services included: Client representation before the City’s Planning Commission as well the City Council for annexation and land use adoption.
- Civil/Environmental Engineering: complete site development design to include: paving, grading and drainage system design and permitting; an on-site wastewater lift station, gravity sewer collection systems and force main design and permitting; preparation of construction plans and a technical standards and specifications project manual; and construction management and administration.

Veterans Administration Medical Clinic
Through an integrated project team approach, JSK CONSULTING, Inc. (JSK) worked together with Furr Wegman Architects, P.A. and Rodda Construction, Inc. to design, permit and construct the 20,000 square foot medical facility for the Veterans Administration. The new facility will replace the 4,000 square foot building currently operating in Lakeland, and offer a full complement of specialties similar to the existing Tampa VA Hospital. The first 10,000 SF building is scheduled to open November 2008 and the second, as early as January 2009.
This project involved working in conjunction with several local and state regulatory agencies including: the City of Lakeland, Southwest Florida Water Management District and the Florida Department of Environmental Protection.
The services we provided included the following:
- Civil/Environmental Engineering: complete site development design to include: paving, grading and drainage system design and permitting; gravity sewer collection systems design and permitting; preparation of construction plans and a technical standards and specifications project manual; and construction management and administration.

Hightower Professional Park Commercial Development
JSK CONSULTING, Inc. provided complete site development permitting services for this 40,000 square foot, multi-level commercial development located along US Highway 98 in Lakeland. The project included a commercial out parcel along US 98 for future development. The project involved working together with several local and state regulatory agencies including: the Florida Department of Transportation, City of Lakeland, Polk County Growth Management, Southwest Florida Water Management District, Florida Department of Environmental Protection and Polk County Health Department.
The services we provided include the following:

Polk County School Board Elementary Prototype
JSK CONSULTING, Inc.’s services for these projects include complete land use planning and zoning, site layout, civil engineering and construction management services to construct school sites with supporting infrastructure throughout the County. Recently, JSK coordinated with the Florida Department of Transportation, surrounding developers and municipalities to design intersection improvements as well as off-site water and sewer main extensions for a school site in Northeast Polk County.
The services we typically provide include the following:
